Music in Progress comprises a workshop addressed to students who want to make real progress through an innovative project and a course on string pedagogy for postgraduates and professionals.
The week long string workshop starts with registration taking place on Tuesday 4th of August, finishing on Tuesday 11th of August after breakfast. The fee includes 5 private lessons (30 min. each), daily group lessons on technique, instrumental ensembles as well as other activities such as orchestra, students and faculty concerts. On top of this, improvisation/Jazz will be an important part of the syllabus, with daily group session on this subject (no previous experience needed). Although all levels and ages are welcome, we are looking for enthusiastic students with a solid foundation who want to boost their skills.
One concert will take place in Oxford.
